Turning to the experience of my family’s emigration, I offer a new perspective on what home is. I consider "home" not as a specific place, but as a complex construct of memory, as a collective
image formed from memoriesof several houses, from fleeting sensations, tied to different geographical points, folding into a complex collage assemblageof memory.
The series of objects "Soft Body of Memory" is part of the installation "Dispersing House", where, moving deeper and deeper into the installation, the planes of memoriesform "rooms" in which softfurniture objects are scattered. They are still recognizable, but in a state ofsoftening and disintegration, like the images of the "house" itself.
They are made from the archival fabric of my relatives, which survived several changes of houses due to the emigration of
my family.
