Do we distinguish between the virtual and the physical world?
Virtual workspaces and virtual social networks define and control our social life in reality, change our relationship with the physical world and its measurable parameters, and change our perception of space. The boundaries between physical and virtual space become increasingly blurred — both spaces intersect and interpenetrate each other.
I call these moments of intersection the extended field, when the difference between the physical and digital worlds becomes almost invisible. I am talking about the merging of these spaces through border zones, insignificant actions, places of transition. We find ourselves in a world of transitional spaces, in a kind of digital infinite labyrinth, as in an infinite present that never passes into the future.
